BENEFITS FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYEES:

Insurance benefits are available the first of the month after 60 days.  The following insurance plan benefits options are available as Employee, Family, Employee & Spouse or Employee & Dependent, with a portion paid by the employer:

Additional insurance benefits include life and short-term disability.

After 90 days, the benefits include:

  • 9 paid holidays (Holiday pay is 8 hours only. The employee must work scheduled workday before and after.)
  • Safety reimbursement which can be applied to safety shoes, prescription safety glasses or a weld hood for welders.
  • Birthday off with pay

After 1 year:

  • 40 hours paid time off (PTO)
  • Simple IRA with Employer match up to 3% (participation is not mandatory)

After 2 years, 80 hours paid time off (PTO)

After 5 years, 120 hours paid time off (PTO)

Job Listings

Assembly Operator

The assembly operator is responsible for, but not limited to preparing product for paint process, cleaning interior, installation of components, and preparing for shipment by following customer and Maxwell Industries standards.

  • Properly prepare product for paint.  
  • Be able to read assembly prints and retrieve all necessary supplies and components to complete the operation.
  • Identify, organize and route jobs through the assembly process.
  • Utilize proper lifter equipment and/or procedures for parts exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Gives finished tank a cursory inspection to ensure tank meets customer visual requirements.
  • Utilize basic hand tools including, but not limited to Allen wrenches, torque wrenches and shop vacuums.
  • Fill out proper documentation.
  • Maintains tooling utilized in job duties.
  • Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.
  • Refer to and follow work instructions.
  • Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Laser Helper

Cuts, trims, or scarfs metal objects with arc-cutting equipment to dimensions, contour, or bevel specified by blueprints, work order, or programmed layout by performing the following duties.

  • Properly prepare product for paint.  
  • Be able to read assembly prints and retrieve all necessary supplies and components to complete the operation.
  • Identify, organize and route jobs through the assembly process.
  • Utilize proper lifter equipment and/or procedures for parts exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Gives finished tank a cursory inspection to ensure tank meets customer visual requirements.
  • Utilize basic hand tools including, but not limited to Allen wrenches, torque wrenches and shop vacuums.
  • Fill out proper documentation.
  • Maintains tooling utilized in job duties.

Fabricator/Welder*

Fitting, joining, and fabricating metal and other welded materials by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedule. *mainly MIG welding, may require some TIG

  • Perform welding duties using a wire welder (GMAW).
  • Weld metal (aluminum, steel, stainless steel) components as specified by customer’s engineered blueprints.
  • Turns knobs to select amperage.
  • Read blueprints
  • Turns lever to adjust jet of gas to blow away molten metal.
  • Strikes arc and guides electrode along lines to cut (melt) through metal.
  • Grinds off chips, spurs, and slag from cracks and holes.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.
  • Refer to and follow work instructions.
  • Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Tester*

The leak tester is responsible for several different processes including prepare tanks for leak testing, ensure tanks are leak proof by air/soap test, patch tanks using weld electrode, apply required, ensure cleanliness of the inside of tanks, and give cursory final quality check. *TIG Welding

  • Identify, organize, and route jobs that have been completed.
  • Plugs tank orifices in preparation for leak testing.
  • Operates hydraulic leak test machine.
  • Pressurize tank, apply soap to locate leaks, patch leaks with weld electrode.
  • Uses crane to take tank off line or leak test machine and palletizes.
  • Gives finished tank a cursory inspection to ensure tank meets customer visual requirements; i.e. weld splatter scrapped, loose dirt, and normal weldments and fittings.
  • Obvious non-conformances will be documented on a Test Serialization log and tank will be repaired or set aside to be returned to the original welder for re-work.
  • Understand and be able to use basic hand tools.
  • Inspection documentation.
  • Maintains tooling utilized in job duties.
  • Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.
  • Refer to and follow work instructions.
  • Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Press Brake Operator

Operates press brake machines and supports the production team by producing a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the customer’s engineered blueprints.

  • Selects proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
  • Set up tooling, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Determine if tooling is undamaged and in safe condition for use.
  • Work in fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities.
  • Able to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel; including gauge of material.
  • Capable of reading a tape measure and protractor.
  • Read, understand and implement blueprints.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.
  • Refer to and follow work instructions.
  • Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Powder Paint Technician

Adheres to customer and company standards for powder coating product; powder coats product; and maintains work area.

  • Understanding of powder paint system and its operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings with regard to powder paint color and thickness requirements
  • Understand and use measurement equipment including thickness tester, infrared thermometer, etc.
  • Visual inspects product prior to beginning powder coating.
  • Identify, organize, and route jobs to next process.
  • Verify paint color with team leader.
  • Fill out routers, inspection check sheets, and powder paint log.
  • Keep paint booth, oven, and area clean and organized.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains accurate powder coating inventory.
  • Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.
  • Refer to and follow work instructions.
  • Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Laser Operator

Cuts, trims, or scarfs metal objects with arc-cutting equipment to dimensions, contour, or bevel specified by blueprints, work order, or programmed layout by performing the following duties.

  • Correct router to file selection.
  • Positions work piece onto plasma table with crane.
  • Correct router to file selection.
  • Focal adjustment, gas PSI adjustment per metal thickness.
  • Grinds off chips, spurs, and slag from cracks and holes.
  • Maintains accurate raw material inventory.
  • Daily maintenance of machine.
  • Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.
  • Refer to and follow work instructions.
  • Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.
  • Verify correct consumables match selected material thickness and laser set up chart before cutting.
  • Successful fulfill fork truck driver training and be certified.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
